Although my husband Don has raised and trained Brittany Spaniels as hunting and companion dogs, I have never had a puppy before nor have I ever trained a dog.Our experience with Andrea… was great. After seeing a business card at my veterinarian’s office I decided to give Andrea… a call. Before taking our 9 mo Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to Andrea it was very hard to get her to listen. "… I had a dog I didn’t enjoy living with…"

Thank you so very much for helping Rosie and me learn to live with each other… I had a dog I didn’t enjoy living with… I don’t like to ask for help but I was in so far over my head and so close to the problem I really was overwhelmed. This was a dog who was crazy excited in the car and peed or threw up whenever we took her anywhere.  She would nip me when she was over excited while playing in the yard.  She bullied the older dogs.  She counter-surfed   she stole and destroyed my clothes and shoes  jumping on people in addition to me.  We had gates at the doorways of most rooms in our house. I was angry at her most of the time. Both of our stress levels were very high. [Andrea’s] calm and confident demeanor was so helpful in leading me believe that all of these issues could be met with training and consistency. [Andrea] was great at helping me figure out what I was doing that caused so many of her issues.  Your suggestions for management were so valuable… Each week offered improvement and hope.  Small successes developed into courage to make big successes.I had a mantra: “ I will love Rose “ .  [Andrea] helped me reach that all important goal.  She is “Rosie” to me now.  We are both more relaxed in each other’s presents.  There is light at the end of the tunnel  it is still a long tunnel but we are headed in the right direction. She is relaxed in the back of my car.  Most of the gates are gone.  I enjoy walking her now.  I have ways of dealing with her overexcitement when playing.   She doesn’t go crazy when people come to visit; she settles into lying at our feet within minutes of their arrival. The change in the last 4 months is amazing.  Yes  we do need to continue her training always; she loves the positive attentions she gets.  Seeing the improvement is encouraging to us and will keep us constantly looking to learn more. We are so very happy with the results [Andrea] have helped us reach.  I will not hesitate to call for help again with Rosie or any other dog that comes to live with us in the future.  It has been a real pleasure getting to know [Andrea] and working with [her].
